Cbank sees large capital flight from Russia via service purchases
MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Large sums of money flow abroad from Russia in schemes, including service purchases from reportedly foreign providers, Deputy Central Bank Chairman Dmitry Skobelkin said at a conference on Tuesday.
“We have recently noticed an increase in the use of services by unfair participants of the foreign economic activity in order to drive funds abroad, there is no border crossing as such, there is no confirmation of the customs and there are often some kind of papers, they cover deals costing billions,” Skobelkin said.
He said that the central bank has already started efforts to curb these practices.
